1. In short

iz guide needs no account. Your location is processed only on your phone and is never sent to us. The app contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting service.

2. Data the app handles

• Location (approximate and precise). Used to show nearby historic places and, during a "walk", to prepare a passport stamp and notify you when you approach a place. Location and your walking trail stay on your device. They are not sent to our servers or shared with third parties. Background location is not requested. When a walk starts, Android shows a foreground-service notification so the walk can continue with the screen off; it disappears when the walk ends.
• Passport and progress. Visited places, stamps, language and settings are stored in local storage on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app. If Android backup is on, Google's device backup may copy this data to your own Google account. That backup does not reach us.
• Notifications. Local notifications generated on the device only. We do not send remote push notifications.
• Photos. If you choose to save your passport page as an image, the app writes that image to your gallery. It does not read or upload your photos.
• Audio. The app plays narration. The microphone is not used.

3. Network contact

• Map tiles: When a map is shown, requests for map tiles go to OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org). That server can see the IP address of your device. Your GPS coordinates are not sent, but the requested tiles roughly indicate the map area you are viewing.
• External links: Directions, sources and licence links open another app or your browser, and that site's own privacy policy applies.
• Purchases: Version 1.0.0 is a beta and in-app purchases run in a simulated mode: no real payment is taken and no payment data is processed. When real payments are enabled, Google Play Billing and a purchase-infrastructure provider will be used and this policy will be updated.

4. Sharing and sale

We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising or profiling.

5. Retention and deletion

Data lives only on your device. In the app you can delete your location trail with "Delete my trail" under Settings → Privacy, and your local data with the delete options under Settings → My data. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android Settings also deletes it. There is no personal data on our servers to delete.

6. Children

The app is for a general audience; we do not knowingly collect personal data from children (no personal data is collected at all).

7. Your rights (Turkish KVKK art. 11 and GDPR where applicable)

Because data stays on your device, no personal data has reached us. You may still ask whether data is processed, request information, correction, deletion or object, by writing to [email protected]. You may complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK) or your local supervisory authority.

Changes will be published on this page with a new date, and in the app for material changes.
